The Jot

Past

Lamp lit
Almost sitting in the dark
Seeing with the ink,
words, written
in a long past.

Capitulating the sentence with a sound.

Room explodes with
onslaught of light,
assault my paper,
words disappear.

Present

Jots of words,
Jots of words,
Jots of words.

Lamp lit,
almost sitting in the dark,
seeing with the ink,
words written,
sentences appear,
day begins.-daw

These words were started without a hat by the light of a lamp and finished in the day with a blue hat having had a blue hat daze.

Unconnected

listen
messengers on high
racing
in a fact-filled mind.
skipping
end-to-end,
hemisphere to hemisphere-

listen
messengers on low
exhausted
in a cave-emptied mind.
beginning in the
valley.-daw

This is when you might need a good hat daze.  So put on your favorite hat and connect those thoughts, be productive and write.

They Tried

Optimistically entering the salon
Forcefully, heated, aqua attacking the strands
Then
I
sit.

Like a sheep I wait.

My clipper has a sound,
yes
like a wall of mosquitos.
Then nothing.

I wait for the bite but feel nothing.

The shearer uses the shears and gets paid.

Alice looks in the looking glass.

I cry HELP.-daw

HAVE  you ever had a bad hat daze caused by someone else?  You just had to correct it?  Well, put on a hat.  Emergency kit:  #1  neutral colored hat  # 2 blue hat (who does't wear blue jeans?)
